The X1 Visa Credit Card boasts 17 grams of pure stainless steel and offers credit limits based on current and projected future income, rather than creditworthiness alone. Though credit scores are still checked, it won’t be a hard inquiry.
You’ll earn at least 2X points per dollar on every purchase you make, but when you spend at least $15,000 in a year, you’ll earn 3X points per dollar on every purchase for that entire year. For each referral you invite who gets the card, you’ll earn 4X points per dollar for 30 days. If points are worth 1-2 cents each, then you could earn up to 8% cash back for 30 days after a successful referral.
The catch is, you may only be able to redeem the points you earn at a select list of companies. Whereas credit cards offered by most lenders allow you to redeem points for statement credits, the X1 card limits you to purchases made at about 100 retailers. Something to keep in mind!
The X1 “smart” card also comes with some innovative features we’ve never seen on a credit card before. You can spend anonymously without disclosing all of your private information, get instant refund notifications, and cancel any existing subscriptions with just one click (with the help of virtual cards).
This card comes with no annual and no foreign transaction fees.
For now you can join the waitlist to get the card, and we’ll update this page when more information becomes available.
