The Synchrony Car Care Credit Card is made for large car maintenance purchases including tires, wheels, brakes, and transmission service, but it can also be used for small purchases like car washes or gas refills.
You can use this card at over 200,000 gas stations across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, but you can definitely find a better gas card with some spending rewards. The real feature of this card is the deferred financing offer.
You’ll get six months of deferred-interest promotional financing on purchases of $199 or more everywhere your card is accepted, except gas stations. So if you pay it in full by the end of the six months, making every payment on time, you won’t pay any interest; but if you don’t pay your balance in full by the end of the promotional period, you will be charged interest for the entire balance going back to the purchase date.
This card may come in handy if you need more time to pay off a large automotive expense, but beware the high interest rate and limited use cases.
There is no annual fee.
