Cash Back Rewards f*** up!

Same issue as L.P. I would receive my Cash Back Rewards like clockwork. This year, no check, but the rewards were supposed to be applied to my card. No rewards. They issued me a new card. Still no rewards. Several phone calls later, they tell me that I have applied the rewards to my last purchase. However, what I applied to my purchase was the PLUS Rewards, which is a different program altogether. THEY ARE SO CONFUSED, and will not back down. I will not see these CashBack rewards. I think the f*** up is intentional so that Sam's Club will not have to pay the rewards.

Hassle getting cash rewards in 2019

We have had the Sam's MasterCard for 5 years. We were always happy with the card and cash back rewards until this year. Previously, Synchrony Bank would mail a check once a year with our rewards. I could take the check into Sam's Club and then applied it to our account. In 2019, they changed it up and applied the rewards directly to our membership. Except - when I went to get my rewards (over $500) they can't seem to match the card to our Sam's membership account. They said they would have to issue a new card with a new number. That didn't help! So, after 4 trips to Sam's, 6 phone calls to Synchrony Bank, I still don't have our rewards. I’m still waiting for their promised call from a supervisor. I'm now looking for a new rewards card.

Don't expect rewards

The bonus rewards (Gas/Travel/Dining)... don't expect them. I accrued 1000's of dollars in the travel category, but they gave me 1%. It doesn't work for the most well known travel agencies.. Air B&B, Homeaway, Expedia... stupid. Switching to Costco.

Scumbags

I personally don't have a Sam's Club MasterCard, but an immediate family member does and I paid their monthly bill last month while they were in the hospital. For whatever reason, they declined my payment and that family member (who is now on the other side of the state in a long-term care facility) received a late fee notice for last month's payment this past week. Even though they declined the payment itself, Sam's Club still went ahead, processed the check, and withdrew the funds from my checking account! As far as I can tell, the money was not applied to my family member's account. I tried calling Sam's about the matter this AM, but since I'm not an authorized user on the card nor have PoA, the customer service rep refused to speak to me and immediately hung up. Obviously I'll need some help from a lawyer to handle the matter from here on out, but if you're reading this review and are considering an account with these guys....beware!

Garbage - stay away

Out of sudden the card quit working. Called the support - they said I missed a payment in spite of I've made a payment a day after I received a notification from Synchrony, and my previous payment was a month ago. Two weeks - the card still doesn't work. Going to cancel that piece of garbage as soon as I collect my rewards.
