Enjoy my Black Card

Without question, this is a true metal credit card. I think they say its 4x the weight of a regular credit card, and in my line of work it really does create a conversation starter when I use it. The airline redemption is very easy and have not had any issue with blackout dates, expiration of points or seat restrictions. The concierge is definitely a service I am trying to use more, actually abuse more. They literally will do any research I need, flights, gift ideas, bus routes, traffic times. I know I have a smartphone, but sometimes I don't even want to do the research and its nice to offload that task on the 24/7 concierge. I went to Singapore for business last month, and I know I could have done my research myself, but it was nice to have a dedicated and local individual offer the places I should consider taking my clients to dinner there. Took 5 minutes while getting ready in my hotel room and I was done. Researching would have taken a whole lot longer and been a larger headache. I get my $495 worth just from turning this service into a personal assistant.

service is lacking

terrible service . staff never gives you the same answer. they appear to be lacking training . management is also lacking. I requested to to speak to a supervisor about this .im still waiting for a supervisor to call me

Amex Platinum vs Black Mastercard

I have both. I have not seen the high limits of the black mastercard as mentioned. the credit lines start at $5000 and go up from there. The concierge is excellent from what i have seen in both. I think however, the Ritz Visa infinite by Chase is a much better overall value than the black mastercard AND they are much much more generous with the starting credit lines. Amex is my favorite but i have never had the Amex black.
