The Kohl’s credit card is called the Kohl’s Charge Card, even though you can carry a balance with it like a typical credit card. It offers a generous selection of discounts, but watch out for the high APR.

This card doesn’t offer rewards, but cardholders can take part in Kohl’s Yes2You Rewards program.

Right now you can take an extra 30% off your first Kohl’s charge purchase in-store or online. You’ll also get a 15% discount by mail along with your card, and 12 additional discount mailings every year.

Kohl’s MVCs (Most Valued Customers) will get even more out of this card, like 6 extra discount mailings per year.

You won’t need a receipt to return items bought with the Kohl’s Charge Card, and users will get early notice of special sales and promotions.

I LOVE KOHLS and their card!

I have had the card for a few years and am a MVC. I love the discounts and free shipping . I have NEVER had an issue with a payment . I normally shop online and love the convenience of this card and great discounts!

Will not set up Auto Pay

I wish I could leave zero stars. I have all my bills on auto pay and have never had an issue setting it up. I asked them to do this for me last year and the lady asked for my information and said it was set up. Apparently I miss understood that it was only for 3 months and I would have to log on myself and do it for continuing auto pay. So after 3 months I received several late fees for missing months of payments. I explained I saw payments coming out and thought it was set up. I never received a bill until I was about 3 months behind. They said they could not waive the late fees because I had some waived in the past. That is the whole reason I want auto pay. I am busy and have all my bills on auto pay. Finally she explained to me how to log into my account and put my account number in and set it up myself. I told her I didn’t understand why I had to do it all my other credit cards did it for me. She said for security purposes but honestly I think they like charging late fees. So I logged in and put my information in that same day. I meant to call to make sure everything went through but ended up forgetting which is my fault. Now I have a bill with more late fees and only the one payment came out of my account. This is the first bill I have received in 2 months since I thought I set it up. I even picked the day I wanted it to come out. I should have called or checked my bank account but I trusted again it was taken care of. I love shopping at Kohl’s and have spent plenty of money their having their MVC status. They already told me they are not waiving anymore fees since they explained to me how to set up auto pay. Well my cards getting cut up and they will not have my business anymore if this is not resolved.

I was late on payment because we were out of town and I didn't have internet. Came home to email notice, got out my checkbook and sent the full amount that morning. I had forgot about it and felt awful. Also got a phone call and the gentleman was very nice and said he figured that something was wrong because I was never late. I apologized and told him the payment in full was in the mail and gave him the check number and amount. Thought with my payment history on all my bills everything was okay. NOT! Took my credit score down amost 100 points when it was over 800. I no longer use that credit card and seldom shop there anymore when it use to be my favorite store, no more.

horrible billing customer service

I looked at the last review written and it sounded almost identical to my situation. However, my incident got worse when the rep called to say I missed a payment - I asked him to give me the final, absolute final payoff figure and I would pay and close the account - he gave me the payoff on the due date - not the final payoff - after thinking my account was paid I was late again and another $27 gets added to a $50 bill. I closed the account. They did not listen to the customer and were very unhelpful. I was an excellent MVP customer for 20 years! Will never step foot in the store again.

Convenient; Bad Billing Service

I've had this card since 1998. Recently I received a bill showing a late payment. I immediately looked for my previous months bill because I pay my bills and file them when I receive them. In short, I didn't find a bill for that month. So, because the amount of the late payment was so low, I went ahead and paid it rather than fighting with Kohls. Then I tried to set up an autopay so that no future bills would be missed even if I didn't received a bill. When I called Kohls Customer Service, I explained all of this to them. They said if I had missed a payment, I could not set up an autopay for a couple of billing cycles. This makes no sense unless Kohls is making extra $$$ by failing to send out statements resulting in late fees. Then, by not letting me sign up for autopay, I can't prevent this from happening again. I told customer service to look at my account history to see that my payments were made on time. This did absolutely no good. I am a MVC cardholder and have a good credit score. No effort was made on my behalf to help resolve this issue. I love to shop at Kohls both in the store and online. If I wasn't such a fan of the store I would cancel this card. However, since their good sales are tied to their credit card I won't. My recommendation to others is to set up autopay before you have a credit issue, because Kohls customer service isn't going to help after you have a problem.
