The Military STAR Card is a limited-use rewards credit card exclusively available to military personnel, veterans, and their families who have Military Exchange access.
The STAR Card is only accepted at on-base exchanges, gas stations, commissaries, clothing/uniform stores, mini shops, and some other locations.
You’ll get 2X points per dollar for all purchases, and a 10% discount for purchases the first day you get your card.
Everyone who is approved for the card will receive the same low APR, regardless of what your credit scores are, and you won’t pay any interest when buying military clothing.
If you have this card while you’re deployed, you can still use it for purchases but you won’t be required to make monthly payments and you’ll maintain a 6% temporary interest rate.
Some other benefits include a 10% food court discount, five-cent-per-gallon fuel discount at military gas stations, and free shipping with some exchanges.
No annual, late, or over-limit fees.
You can NOT use this card for off-base purchases with civilian retailers. Your card must be paid off at the time of separation from the military, and the military can directly take money out of your bank account for missed payments.
