The Divvy Credit Builder program provides a way for businesses to establish and build credit. Rather than extending a line of credit, Divvy Credit Builder is a prepaid account that you can use and reload over and over again.
Unlike most prepaid cards, your activity will be reported to Dun & Bradstreet and Small Business Financial Exchange. That means with responsible use you can build your business credit, and eventually qualify for an actual line of credit. Divvy will look for an opportunity to give you a credit line, so be sure to make your payments on time, all the time, for all of your debts. (Activity isn’t reported to the consumer credit bureaus, so Divvy doesn’t affect your personal credit.)
Divvy’s Credit Builder program comes with all the same features as the standard Divvy program, including the weekly rewards, credits for business services, virtual cards, and business management tools. The only difference is that you need to prefund the account.
When you apply for Divvy, you’ll first be considered for the standard program, which comes with the Divvy Credit Card (Review). If you don’t qualify, you’ll be considered for this Credit Builder product.
