made a purchase for $19.29 and returned the purchase for $19.29 fourteen days before bill was due...now I am getting calls from collections for $19.29 Customer service took three tries before getting someone who was polite and helpful. They told me as a courtesy they removed the "late fee" what a joke! I closed my account and this better be the last of it!!!
My husband has a Home Depot credit card(HUGE MISTAKE!)Citibank and Home Depot have their own system for paymentsrelating to Home Depot purchases, did you know that?I am trying to pay off the balance on that Home Depot creditcard, for a purchase for some items in January 2018.For some weird reason I tried to pay two payments on myauto pay account with Home Depot ( thru Citibank)I created this account for fifty dollars monthly.I tried to make a double payment in March.Citibank did deducted the fifty dollars on my checking account.For some unknown reason a deduction was made for fiftydollars from my checking account to Home Depot!.I have no idea why?. All payment payments and deductionsare thru Citibank only. Our statement had reflected a correctbalance for about seven hundred dollars. This problemwith Citibank on March 10th. I made the payments on March10th. Citibank showed a payment reversal what does that mean?This increased the Home Depot credit balance an increase offifty dollars which brought the correct balance over eighthundred dollars!. If you are not the cardholder on the HomeDepot credit card they refuse to provide any answers forproblems,concerns or anything relating to their card!.I am on the Home Depot card as a payment source, whichI am. That has no importance to Home Depot!.As a friend never use a Home Depot card for any purchasesat their stores. Who will you dispute transactions if youpurchased thru Home Depot!. No one!. Citibank has adirect arrangement with Home Depot where you will onlyspeak to Home Depot never Citibank directly.!If you choose to purchase anything from Home Depot usea credit card. The best choice is never to purchase from anyHome Store.!Please do not ever use a Home Depot Card!.You will be very sorry as I am.!
I canceled my Home Depot Citibank card. I then did a balance transfer for the entire amount. I spoke with an associate to confirm. I then started getting bills for a hundred and something dollars. I called and apparently they added on all the interest for that next month, after the balance transfer. I called and they told me basically too bad, but after long convo, they agreed to get rid of it if I paid 34.16(which I shouldn't have had to do). I called back to pay and the lady had no clue what the other person had said or promised. She told me she'd put the credit on it and It should say zero when I log in. Of course it didn't. So I waited a few weeks and called back, and spoke to someone who said it would take a billing cycle. I asked her to please make sure I don't get a bunch of late notices, and she said I wouldn't. So, of course I get constant emails. I finally called one last time, as its been 2 months since I started this process. The man said it could take up to 2 billing cycles. I once again told him that I got continuous incorrect information. He promised by the NEXT billing cycle it should be cleared. Aside from the multiple emails, I now get LITERALLY daily calls from 423-477-6983. For more than a week, I have gotten at least once call AND voicemail per day, about an account that should have been CLOSED AND PAID OFF for months now. I have never been given so much incorrect information directly by the company. I have been basically harassed for months about an account that I paid off and closed, and there has been no apologies or indications anything will change. I would not recommend using any credit card from this company. They have HORRIBLE service.
I have the Home Depot credit card because they had the siding I liked for my rental. After getting this card my uncle told me I should get the Pro Xtra Membership? I then asked a employee how I go about to apply for this? She gives me an 800 number and today I spent 40min on the phone getting transferred to 4 different people. NO ONE seems to know what this is or how to apply? Finally the 5th person tells me I need a Commerical Credit Card to get this benefit. Thank you Home Depot for all your wonderful customer service, it stinks! No wonder I have always shopped at MENARDS. After spending over 2,000 in 2 weeks I find out I should of had the Commerical Credit Card.
I got the card less than a year ago to use for emergency. I am a new homeowner so things come up. Well I didn't end up using it. I got a letter in the mail saying it was closed because my credit was bad. Even though my credit didn't change. So I call them and the customer service rep said it was closed due to inactivity. I said so it wasn't closed because of my credit. And he's like oh yea that too. Said I was able to reapply. I told him I would never give them a shot again because they were very dishonest! That's fine if they wanted to close my account due to inactivity but why lie about it?! Very unprofessional! I do not recommend at all!!! They are not worthy of my business! Should of looked at all the bad reviews before I applied. This better not affect my good credit by them closing it. If it does they will fix it!!!
