The American Airlines AAdvantage MileUp Card is issued by Citi, and is the no annual fee option for co-branded American Airlines credit cards.

It earns 2X AAdvantage Miles per dollar on:

  • Eligible purchases from American Airlines
  • Grocery stores

Cardholders also get an introductory bonus of 10,000 miles and a $50 statement credit for spending $500 in the first 3 months after account opening, a pretty good bonus for a small spending requirement.

The airline perks are a bit meager, which makes sense for a card without an annual fee. You’ll get a 25% discount on inflight purchases of food and beverages on flights operated by AA, but that’s about it.
