The IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card is a good card pick for anyone who frequently stays in IHG hotels, offering plentiful rewards and benefits.

For the first 12 months of membership, cardholders get 40X points per dollar at IHG (25X from the card, 15X from IHG member status), along with 4X points on all other purchases.

After the first 12 months, you’ll earn 25X points at IHG (10X from the card, 15X from member status), 2X points at gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants, and 1X point is earned for every other purchase.

An introductory offer of 125,000 bonus points is available after spending $3,000 in the first three months. There’s also an annual bonus, providing 10,000 bonus points if you spend $20,000 and make one additional purchase in an account anniversary year.

IHG Rewards Club Platinum Elite status is complimentary, which comes with benefits like a 50% bonus on base points, no blackout dates on award nights, and room upgrades when available.

You’ll get an Anniversary Free Night each year after your card account anniversary, which means it starts after your first year with the card. That free night can be used for a room with a redemption level up to 40,000 points.

Other perks include a credit for the application fee of either Global Entry ($100) or TSA Pre✓ ($85). Your fourth reward night is free when using points to book stays of four or more nights.

This card costs $89 per year, and has no foreign transaction fees.
