The Chase Freedom Student credit card is designed for college students looking to build credit. This card can only be applied for in person at Chase branches across the U.S.

This card is only available to current students, but you can maintain the card and the benefits once you’re no longer a student.

You’ll get 1% cash back on all of your purchases, and a $50 welcome bonus after your first purchase in the first 3 months of opening your account.

If you keep your card open, you’ll get a $20 anniversary bonus every year for the first five years. And you’ll get an automatic credit line increase after making five on-time payments within the first 10 months.

This card has no annual fee.
