The Chase Freedom Student credit card is designed for college students looking to build credit.

This card is only available to current students, but you can maintain the card and the benefits once you’re no longer a student.

You’ll get 5% cash back on Lyft rides (through March 2022), 1% cash back on all of your other purchases, and a $50 welcome bonus after your first purchase in the first three months of opening your account.

Cardholders can get a free DoorDash membership (DashPass) for three months, and then a 50% discount for the next nine months; DashPass provides free delivery for orders of $15 or more.

If you keep your card open, you’ll get a $20 anniversary bonus every year for the first five years. And you’ll get an automatic credit line increase after making five on-time payments within the first 10 months.

This card has no annual fee.
