The Bass Pro Shops CLUB Card has replaced the old Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Rewards Mastercard, and this new card is issued by Capital One rather than Bank of America. The new card is more rewarding for certain purchases, and comes with additional benefits. See the section below for details on this transition, and what to do if you had the old card.

Cardholders will earn CLUB points based on their member level at Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, participating Cenex convenience stores, and a variety of affiliated resorts and restaurants. You can see all of those participating locations below.

CLUB Points (at Bass Pro and affiliates) Status Level Annual Spend Requirement
2X CLUB Classic None
3X CLUB Silver $10,000
5X CLUB Black $25,000

1X Club point is provided for every other purchase, at non-affiliated merchants.

Points can be redeemed for purchases at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s, at a rate of $1 for 100 points. This means you’ll earn a cash back equivalent of 2–5% at Bass Pro Shops and affiliates, depending on your status level, with 1% back everywhere else.

The annual spend requirements refer to calendar years (January to December). In addition to the spend requirements, eligibility for the Silver and Black status levels will be based on your creditworthiness. The better your credit, the better your chances of approval. The Silver and Black levels also come with different card designs.

It will usually take up to five business days to process your status upgrade after reaching a spend requirement. The new status level will last for the remainder of the current year and for the next year as well. Downgrades will usually be processed in January, based on the previous year’s spending.

Cardholders also get a variety of benefits, including extra point opportunities through the Gear Guide. Silver and Black status members have access to Signature Outdoor Adventures, and invitations to exciting workshops and training events through The Experiences program. There are also several purchase and travel protections provided by Capital One. Cardholders at the Classic and Silver levels will receive World Mastercards, while those at the Black level will receive a World Elite Mastercard with enhanced benefits.

Unlike most cards, the Bass Pro Shops CLUB Card has different interest rates depending on where you’re shopping. Purchases made at Bass Pro Shops and affiliated stores will have an APR of 9.99%, while all other purchases will get the APR shown below.

The Bass Pro Shops CLUB Card has no annual fee, and there are no foreign transaction fees.

Cabela’s offers the same card product, which is identical in every respect except the name and card design: The Cabela’s CLUB Card.

What You Need to Know About the Transition from Outdoor Rewards to CLUB

  • Your old Outdoor Rewards card was deactivated as of October 8, 2018.
  • Your new card will have a new account number and other details.
  • Your new card will not show up as a new account on your credit reports, it will remain the same.
  • You may get new interest rates, with a new billing due date and minimum payment.

  • You’ll be able to see the last 12 months of statements in your new online account (this may take 30 days to transfer).
  • Any rewards you earned with your previous card will be transferred to your new card account.
  • Any authorized users on your account will remain, and they will be issued new cards with new account numbers (the cards will be sent to the primary user’s address).

Credit dropped 200 points

I'll never use a credit card from Bass Pro Capital one again! My wife and I were set up for auto pay with Bank of America previously and had no issues. We are both busy and auto pay was convenient for payments. Because we are busy we don't always read our statements and that's why we set up auto payment. Bass pro decided to switch to Capital one and we were supposed to activate to continue making payments. Well we finally figured it out when we were 3 months behind on payments. This dropped my credit 200 points. I would think a courtesy call would have been nice after 30 days but I guess thats too much to ask.. Tried to dispute but that didn't go far. Closed my account and refuse to use Capital one or Bass pro in the future.

Horrible worst experience I’ve ever had with a card

Would give negative if I could, since they switched from Bank of America I’ve had nothing but Hell, I made a payment on 12/1 and they finally posted so it cleared my bank on January 16, seriously does it take 6 weeks for a bank bill pay check to get there and get posted? I had to put a stop on 2 checks after one was a month and hasn’t cleared and the other was 3 weeks, I will pay it completely off tomorrow and will never do business with them again, just total incompetence on their part. I’ve never had a problem with any of my bills getting paid thru my bank bill pay service except for them.

Awful since they switched from Bank of America

I had my Bass Pro card through Bank of America for many years and really enjoyed having it. Had a couple issues over the years but they always worked with me to make things right.I made 1 large transaction and paid it off 6 hours past the due date, in addition to making my regular payment on time of course. $190 fee and they wouldn’t work with me at all. They don’t offer any of the benefits I had before they switched to capital one and the process of switching has been a huge pain.Getting rid of this card ASAP and sticking with my mileage cards.

not happy

27 dollar fee on two cards with no explanation . don't even try to get someone to help you " do not recognize that number" is all the mech will say. went to Cabela's and was told we cant help. gave me a card with a number. yea!!! Also have interest charged on both cards. I pay them off in full each month. Not Happy and will change soon...
