Uber Visa Card

The Uber Visa Card is one of the newest offerings by Barclays, providing 4% cash back on dining (including UberEATS), 3% back on airfare and at hotels, and 2% back on online purchases (including Uber itself).

It comes with some rewarding benefits, like a $50 annual credit for streaming services if you spend $5,000 per year, and up to $600 in mobile phone insurance if you pay your phone bill with the card.

Overall it’s a very rewarding card given that it has no annual fee. The 4% back category is a better reward for dining than most cards offer, the 3% category includes not just airfare and hotels but also travel agencies like Airbnb, and the 2% category covers a very wide variety of purchases, including most online subscription services (excluding utilities and similar services).

You’ll be able to redeem your rewards for Uber credits through the Uber app, statement credits, or gift cards.

There’s no foreign transaction fee on this card, so it’s a good choice to bring with you when traveling outside the country unlike most cards, which charge a 3% fee.

You don’t need to be an Uber driver to apply for this card. But if you are an Uber driver, check out the Uber Visa Debit Card, which provides cash back at a variety of different merchants (including gas stations).

Where can I use my Uber Visa Card?

You can use this card anywhere Visa is accepted.

If you apply for this card through the Uber app and are approved, you’ll be able to use it immediately through the app for Uber purchases without needing to wait for the physical card to be mailed to you.

Great card

Easy to activate, easy to use and very easy to rack up rewards cash. Even get FICO monitoring.

Worst customer service EVER

Barclays has the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with of any card (or product for that matter) that I have ever owned. After 2 months of ownership and stress of owning the card I finally deactivated it because I was tired of spending hours on hold and with combative customer service reps to be told "my issue couldn't be resolved"

Card Benefits are good, customer service is bad

The 4% back at restaurants is pretty stout, since I eat out all the time. I had to call customer service a few times for issues, the main one being that the laminated pieces of the card started falling apart. The card was not very sturdy, which I know is is odd thing to say about a credit card. I got the card in 4 months ago, and to reiterate the sentiments of other comments, it did take a while for the card to get here.

Easy and solid cashback

This is a really straight forward card. Four percent back at restaurants is great for me because I eat out often. The $100 bonus hit my statement as soon as I was at the spend threshold not after the full 90 days which I thought was good. During account opening Barclays even called me because I had another card with them I didn't use much anymore as it's reward tiers had become relatively unattractive. Since my combined likes would be pretty high the representative offered to move the availability over to my new Uber card which has come in very handy and put Barclays back in first place for usability in my wallet. I've had Amex, Capital One, and Discover and while those three companies have solid customer service Barclays has them all beat by far. I'm quite happy with my Uber card all the way around.

Fantastic Card

Super easy to activate and super easy to redeem my points. Traveled abroad and really appreciated those zero transaction fees.Sidenote- this card looks great and makes cashiers do a double take when you hand it to them.
