Though there aren’t many Sonesta locations around the world, and the point redemptions are low, this card may be very rewarding for the Sonesta loyalist. It’s contactless, offers valuable perks like Elite Member Status, and comes with a hefty anniversary bonus for spending at least $7,500 per year.

The Sonesta Mastercard is made for die-hard Sonesta patrons. If you plan on spending at least $7,500 per year with the card, you’ll earn 30,000 anniversary bonus points worth $225 (if you find a value of .75 cents per point).

So that takes care of the annual fee, gives you $150 in Sonesta cash to play with, and that’s not to mention the additional points you earned on spending throughout the year.

You’ll get an automatic upgrade to Sonesta Travel Pass’ top Elite membership level. This includes complimentary club lounge access, continental breakfast, late check-in/out, guaranteed room bed type, and a handful of other benefits along those lines.

Most hotel credit cards let you redeem points to directly book your stay online, but with the Sonesta card you’ll have to go online and submit a form or give them a call to redeem your points.

The card has no foreign transaction fees and an annual fee of $75, $0 first year.
