The Card.com Prepaid Card is a Visa or a Mastercard that must be loaded with cash. Watch out, because you may end up facing a few different fees, but if you use the card in certain ways you can avoid them.
You can choose one card or a Family of Cards Plan with up to three card accounts. You can pick your design, but pay attention when you do because it also dictates whether you get a Visa or a Mastercard.
You can reload your card online, in-store, or through an app, but if you don’t load enough each month you’ll be charged a $9.95 monthly fee. The same monthly maintenance fee will be applied whether you get a single card or multiple cards with a family plan.
You can get that monthly fee waived if you deposit a total cash amount of $1,000 in the 30 days prior to the fee being charged (except for with the family plan).
You can only withdraw up to $500 in cash per day, and you’ll incur fees for certain activities such as out-of-network ATM withdrawals, over-the-counter withdrawals, paper statements, lost or stolen card replacement, and more.
