Bait and switch

I applied for the card to make a $2000 balance transfer and get 30,000 points for spending $2000 in the first three months. They approved me and immediately asked if i wanted to make a balance transfer. I said "sure, whats my credit limit?" They gave me a $1000 limit and were trying to eat uo my limit with a BT which doesnt count towards points. The rude, barely English speaking rep then told me not to worry because after 60 days they'll reassess my limit. Small problem, they wont let you transfer at 0% after 60 days. So theyre not only making it near impossible to get the bonus points, i cant make a reasonable BT. As im trying to plead make case yhe rep essentially says take it or leave it and hangs up on me. Why would i want to do business with AMEX after this BS?
