The American Express Corporate Gold card is designed for the multimillion-dollar business traveler, offering benefits to make your trips more comfortable and protections to keep you and your belongings safe along the way.

You’ll get a number of benefits to make you feel like you’re a step above the rest when traveling. You’ll get a fee credit every four years for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, concierge services, preferred seating, and more benefits that help you save cash and maintain productivity on the road.

You can enroll in the Membership Rewards program for $90 annually, which will give you 1X Membership Rewards point per dollar for most purchases. You can choose to either consolidate rewards from your enrolled employee cards, or you can allow employees to earn rewards individually on their own cards.

Uber business rides will get 2X Membership Rewards points per dollar, and cardholders will get priority pickup via Uber at most U.S. airports.

There are a few requirements that would bar your company from getting approved. These include:

  • Company must be U.S. based
  • Company must have a valid U.S. tax ID
  • Company must have gross annual revenues in excess of $4 million

Similar to what the Brex Credit Cards offer, you’ll also get an unknown number of cash back deals/rebates with popular organizations, which may turn out to be incredibly valuable.

The annual fee for this card is $250, but you will be responsible for some other fees in certain cases, such as an administrative suspense fee of $25, a reinstatement fee of $25, and possibly more.

Because this is a charge card, the balance must be paid off in full each month to avoid paying a sizable fee.

If you’re looking for an upgrade to this card, check out the American Express® Corporate Platinum Card (Review), which includes all of the benefits and services offered by this card plus many more, for a much higher annual fee.

Along with the requirements above, to apply online for this card your company must:

  • Maintain annual credit card spending of less than or 10% of your annual revenue
  • Either be a Corporation, LLC, or LLP
  • Maintain annual revenue between $4–$25 million

If you don’t meet these requirements, you can still request to speak with a specialist and apply over the phone instead.
