The American Express Business Extra Corporate Card offers you some powerful cash rebates and point rewards for companies who avidly fly American Airlines.

You’ll earn 4X Business Extra points per $20 spent on base airfare of eligible American Airlines flights, and 1X Business Extra point per $20 spent on all other eligible purchases.

You’ll get up to a 6% cash rebate for your business on up to $1.5 million of American Airlines airfare purchases per year, as well as a $50 flight discount every time you spend $5,000 on eligible purchases.

You previously needed these requirements to be eligible for an American Express®/Business Extra℠ Corporate Card:

  • Your business needs to have existed for at least 12 months.
  • Your business must have grossed at least $4 million in your last fiscal year.
  • You need a business address outside of your own home.
  • Your business cannot be classified as a sole proprietorship.

These requirements aren’t explicitly listed by American Express anymore but they can be used as guidelines for whether or not this card may be right for you. Rather than applying for this card, you’ll submit some basic business information and request a personal call back from a representative to see if the card is appropriate for your business.
