Aeromexico Visa® Secured Card

For People with
Bad Credit

The Aeromexico Visa Secured Card is one of very few secured airline credit cards. As a secured credit card, it requires a security deposit to fund the credit limit upon approval.

It offers 2X miles per dollar at gas stations and grocery stores, with 1X mile everywhere else. Unlike most airline cards it does not offer bonus miles with its co-branded airline, Aeromexico. This likely because it’s a secured card, rather than a typical airline rewards card.

Cardholders get a complimentary Companion Certificate after approval, along with 3,500 bonus miles after the first purchase. An annual $99 Companion Certificate is awarded every year after that. The Companion Certificates are valid for roundtrip travel between the U.S. and Mexico.

The first checked bag is free for the primary cardholder on Aeromexico flights, up to 50 pounds.

The Aeromexico Visa Secured has a $25 annual fee, and charges 3% for foreign transactions.

There’s an upgraded version of this card with better rewards and benefits, the Aeromexico Visa Signature® Card.
